Working Lands Merit Review
The House Natural Resources and Conservation Committee voted a “do-pass” recommendation on the Working Lands Resolution – House Concurrent Resolution 18. The bill moves out of the Committee and will next be considered by all representatives in the House.

Carbon Trading – A Primer for Landowners
[ March 17, 2009; 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. ] Carbon Credit Trading: Understanding It, Owning It, Trading It, is a one day workshop sponsored by the Clearwater Soil and Water Conservation District and the Idaho State Soil Conservation Commission. Idaho Land Legacy Trust Progresses
The Idaho Fish and Game Commission appointed a sub-committee to define the structure and management of a Land Legacy Trust. The sub-committee will conduct their work with the Department. Commission members include Tony McDermott , Randy Budge, and Cameron Wheeler.

Stimulus Bill and Wildland Fire Hazard
The House Stimulus Bill (American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, HR 679) included $850 million to reduce wildfire threats.
