Idaho 2030
The Working Lands Coalition Partners
share a vision to bridge Idaho’s history and its future. Idaho’s landscapes have room for population growth. These lands also provide soils for growth of pasture, crops, and forests. The vision includes four growth principles for Idaho in the year 2030:
- Rural areas support ranches, farms, and forests that contribute to Idaho’s economy and the vitality of local communities.
- Urban areas thrive in sensible places.
- Idahoans enjoy healthy wildlife populations, clean water and air, natural areas, and excellent hunting, fishing, and outdoor recreation.
- Good land stewardship is valued and rewarded.
Market incentives create the policy bridge that keeps working lands working.
